Also, this past year, with our inspirational and innovative products, we participated in six major exhibitions both domestically and internationally. Our footprint spanned Hangzhou, New York, Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Guangzhou, earning us numerous awards and the attention and love of attendees. Beyond just experiencing events firsthand and presenting information on global first-tier industry trends, UDN also participates in forward-looking industry discussions to promote industrial chain cooperation and innovation, making sustainability more practical and far-reaching. In March 2024, upon invitation from the United Nations organization, UDN participated in the ESG Green Working Forum as a representative of best practices in the beauty industry and shared insights. In August, UDN was invited to share its sustainable practice cases at the 12th CPRJ Plastics Packaging Technology Forum, highlighting its leading position in the field of green packaging. Simultaneously, UDN provides ESG training and audits for suppliers to jointly build a green supply chain system and leverage synergy. Driven by increasing efficiency and diminishing energy consumption, we are constantly striving to find the optimal route to sustainable development. This year marked the establishment of the UDN Sustainability Strategy Committee, firmly embedding environmental awareness into corporate decision-making. We’ve developed and are recommending Edible Oil-based Resin, Soft Touch inks, and eco-friendly invisible UV inks to our clients. In addition, Ocean Bound Plastic from fishing nets is now presented on the table as an eco-friendly option for our brand partners.
A sustainable business value chain, built upon eco-friendly materials, reduced-plastic design, and environmentally conscious processes, repeatedly demonstrates its value across product development, production, supply chain, and corporate governance.
Demonstrating our ongoing commitment to sustainability, our use of reduced plastic and recycled materials has increased year-on-year, with growth exceeding 30%. We are proud to have been awarded the EcoVadis Silver medal for the second consecutive year, achieving a historic score improvement this year. Further recognition came with our selection for inclusion in the inaugural sustainability case study report by the Asia-Pacific region’s premier international beauty trade show. To conclude the year, we were honored to be shortlisted as a finalist for the “Toward the Light Award” Annual Business for Good TOP 10 companies in the Galaxy Track category.
Responsible Beauty: It’s a Commitment, Backed by Action. Over the past year, UDN has continued to promote care, equality, and multiculturalism. In spring, we participated in the “One Egg” hiking event and raised 52,200 yuan to fund intangible cultural heritage courses for children in mountainous areas. Following this, we visited a public welfare primary school in Yunnan and conducted further fundraising for them.
